This was an empty existing room that client had us renovate. Major design goals were to have high fidelity sound and video but keep everything hidden. Foundation of good sound quality is to have a well designed room acoustics plan. All walls and ceiling are covered with stretched fabric. Behind fabric are acoustic panels and bass traps. To achieve dead quiet ambient noise projector is fully enclosed in hush box made of stressed wood and designed for active cooling and easy maintenance. Equipment is hidden behind door that is made to look like a column. Speakers and subwoofers are hidden behind perforated screen. Not only is this space for ultimate movie and music enjoyment but also a peaceful room to read a book.
