With very large windows, concrete floor and metal staircase this room generated so much echo that it was even uncomfortable talking in the room much less watch TV. The challenge was to incorporate acoustic treatments without intruding to the modern feel of this home. To reduce echo and calm the room down we custom designed in-ceiling sound absorbers and diffusers. Stretch fabric was used to hide acoustic panels on walls. All speakers are hidden behind stretched fabric. Client selected an area rug that met our acoustic specification to reduce sound reflecting off concrete floor. Now it's the family's favorite room!
